Where did November go?! It seems like I've been ready for the holidays every year except this one...it definitely snuck up on me! Since I used to teach, the day after Halloween we started preparations for Thanksgiving and Christmas by getting things ready for Thanksgiving feasts, Christmas gifts, holiday parties and programs, and definitely breaking out the Christmas music. This year, time is flying by, and it doesn't help much that I'm lucky if I remember what month it is, let alone what day or date it is! Thankfully, my mom came up Monday and Tuesday of Thanksgiving week and I was able to get all of Jack's pictures taken for our holiday card. I was also able to get some cleaning done so we could get the fall decorations put away, and get the Christmas stuff out!

I am always meaning to write on this thing, but time slips away. We are super busy, pretty much every weekend, and my days at home fly by hanging out with my growing little man, who seems to do something new every day! Since Halloween, we've had a few weekends in Lafayette with family and friends, which is always fun and seems to go too fast. A few weeks ago Matt and I took Jack out to Chicago for the first time. We went to the science museum with some friends and their 2 year old. We had so much fun! And Jack was very interested in everything...especially the science stuff, which makes daddy happy haha. Last week we went to Indy for Thanksgiving to spend the holiday with my moms side of the family, which was nice since we don't get to see them often. On Saturday, we went up to Matt's parents' to celebrate his moms 50th with their friends and our family & had lots of fun. When we got home from Thanksgiving weekend, we got to put up our tree, which Jack loves! :-)

| Jack and Oscar. Chistmas 2011. |
Since I last wrote, Jack and I are working very hard on sitting by himself. He's getting better and stronger every day, and can last 7ish seconds, so we're gettin there! This past week we've started on rice cereal and veggies. Our first veggie was squash, which he seems to like. He did great the first time we fed him, no gagging or spitting, thankfully! He's growing so fast, and gets more and more fun every day! He's outgrown his extreme fussiness, only fussing when he's tired, hungry, or bored. Yesterday we had a play date with a couple other babies and moms in my "mommy group", including Jack's second cousin Rylie who's growing so fast and already sitting up on her own. Won't be long until Christine and I have 2 little monsters moving all over the place! :-)

Last night, I literally ordered 18 Christmas gifts from amazon. So I'll have ALL gifts purchased and wrapped by early next week!! I might pick up some random little things here and there, but it definitely feels good to have all the gifts done. This weeks chore is ordering holiday cards, and getting them addressed and in the mail by the end of next week. Matt's company holiday party is next Friday, the office is closing early and my dad will be coming up to babysit. We're excited for a night out!
If you haven't seen these and would like to take a look at a few more adorable pictures, here's the link. The album is Jack at 4months, including the holidays so far, and Christmas pictures.
